ड्राइंग इंजीनियरों की भाषा है। ड्राइंग के गहन ज्ञान के बिना इंजीनियरिंग अधूरी है। एक सिविल इंजीनियरिंग डिप्लोमा धारक को शिल्पकार के साथ संचार के उद्देश्य के लिए भवन के विभिन्न घटकों की विस्तृत रचनात्मक ड्राइंग को स्केच करने में सक्षम होना चाहिए। छोटी इमारतों की योजना, एक लाइन योजना विकसित करना, आयाम, मुख्य योजना, जल निकासी योजना पाठ्यक्रम का एक हिस्सा होना चाहिए। डिप्लोमा इंजीनियर को काम के निष्पादन के लिए ड्राइंग की रीडिंग और व्याख्या के साथ बातचीत करनी चाहिए।
